Just a peak

Just wanted to post a few pages of the book I'm just now finishing. The design process took me a couple of weeks but I think it ended up pretty unique.

New Year of Seniors

A new school year starts in about a week for local schools and some seniors are wanting to get their long awaited senior pictures out of the way now before they get too busy. I couldn't agree more with their thinking. Senior year has a lot of cherished and some not so cherishing rituals to get out of the way. I try to make my senior sessions fun and original. Many, many eons ago when I was a high school senior, I wanted to go to a good but not well-known photographer so my photos would stand out from the crowd. After my session, I was happy with the outcome and proud to show my friends and family. I hope the seniors I work with feel the same way...and I think they do. :)

Newborn + Proud Family

Baby Maxwell is finally here and has a very loving and welcoming family to make him feel right at home.
I'm sure I'll be seeing more of this little guy in the future.

A contagious smile

I have the pleasure to capture Lizzie as she grows and changes throughout her first year of life. This was my second session with Lizzie and we had a great time. She didn't cry at all and gave the camera big smiles when her mom made funny sounds. I couldn't help but smile while I was editing these. A smile is definitely contagious.

Dan & April

Dan & April got married on a beautiful day at Turtle Run Golf Course in Illinois. The ceremony was actually held on the green in the early evening. Absolutely perfect light for such an occasion.

Thanks for being a great couple to work with!

Dog Days of Summer

Today was one of those hot summer days that you look forward to in January when you're chilled down to your bones. I took advantage of one of my rare, weekend days off and brought my dog Biscuit, her son Bandit, and Bandit's dad, Buster to the Tippecanoe Battlefield.  (I'm dog sitting for Buster and Bandit while their dad is traveling the US being a rockstar.) Anyway, here are a few fun photos I took with the Canon 5d, 50mm and 70-200mmL lenses.
